As we reflect on 2024 and look ahead to 2025
A message from Steven Pyne, Managing Partner.
As we prepare to turn the page on 2024, I want to take a moment to thank our clients and partners for their support this year. Whether you’ve been a client since our launch over 20 years ago or you joined us more recently, we truly value the trust you place in us.
A year of change
2024 has been a year of significant change, both at home and globally. Elections across the world have brought new leadership, creating a backdrop of shifting priorities and challenges. In the UK the first Budget of the new government generated months of media speculation which created uncertainty for everyone. Our focus however, as always, has been on the things we can control, helping our clients make the best decisions for them based on their own circumstances and planning needs.
Listening to your feedback
Your feedback is invaluable in shaping how we develop as a firm. Thank you to everyone who has participated in our feedback programme this year. This has been run in conjunction with VouchedFor who provide resources to support professional firms in reviewing their services. Whilst helping us meet new regulatory requirements, this has also proved to be a useful exercise in helping us shape our approach to client service and future marketing initiatives.
The results so far, at individual and firm level, have been overwhelmingly positive and a real endorsement of what we do. We are told that our ratings are unusually positive as each adviser received an average rating of above 4.5 out of 5, meaning we are a top-rated firm. Most of our new business comes from referrals so, please do pass our details on if you can think of anyone who might benefit from our help.
Building a stronger team
We’re immensely proud of the team at Holden & Partners. The exams our advisers undertake to become Chartered Financial Planners are rightly rigorous, and in the last couple of weeks, we’ve celebrated Sam Slack qualifying as an adviser through the Holden & Partners Academy. Sam joins Bruce Davies, Dominic Clark and Craig Young who all completed the same journey last year. We continue to develop our own talent, so we have the strength and depth to serve you both now and in the years to come.
Commitment to sustainability
Our commitment to sustainability remains very important to us. Last year, we recertified as a B Corp, and in 2024 published our latest B Corp Impact Report, demonstrating the progress we’ve made. New rules around ESG fund labelling are coming into force next year so we’re working behind the scenes to ensure we’re both up to date with the regulations and in a position to improve our proposition. We’re excited to share more with you in the coming year.
Looking ahead
As we approach 2025, our priorities remain clear: to support our clients in achieving their financial goals, play our own part in building a stronger and more sustainable future, and continue taking our business forward.
Wishing you and your family a Happy Christmas.
