Guide to Climate Change InvestmentWe have just produced our 3rd Guide to Climate Change Investment (download), which forms the backdrop to the Climate Change Investment Awards at the House of Commons on the 25th November and the Climate Change Strategies we employ at Holden & Partners for many of our clients. We believe that Climate Change investment and the funds within this field will benefit from a structural shift in government policy across the world. The environment and our impact on it will be monetarised over time by governments producing winners and losers. The climate change funds are positioned to take advantage of these changes. Our Climate Change Guides have evolved over the last three years to help explain the development of the climate change investment market in the UK. Each Guide is available in pdf format on our web site. Summary of 2007 Guide: We focused on the difference between an ethical fund and a climate change fund. Summary of 2008 Guide: We identified the growing range of climate change funds and broke this theme into five sections - generalist, Clean Energy, Water, Agriculture and Forestry. About the 2009 Guide: 1). With the development of meaningful performance we identify the top performing funds in each climate change sector for the UK investor. 2). We outline the performance of these funds against the wider investment market; and 3). We introduce and explain a further sector in the Climate Change Investment field - the Carbon markets. The information we provide in our guides provides the back drop to our expertise in this field and tailoring a portfolio to adapt to a client's specific needs, whilst taking into account climate change. If you would like to discuss how you can tailor your portfolio to accommodate Climate Change please do not hesitate to contact Mark Hoskin on 020 7812 1460. |
