Alternative Investments

Most people invest in shares, corporate bonds and commercial property and this can represent the whole of their investment horizon. However, at Holden & Partners we believe that within a portfolio there is room for more alternative investments which are not necessarily available on the main market.

We recommend these to clients because they may suit a particular client’s needs or attitudes, but also because they can increase the diversification within the portfolio and thus reduce the client’s overall investment risk.

In the past we have recommended investments in the Wind Energy EIS, Ventus VCT, Quadris Environmental, The Wine Investment Fund and two commercial property syndicates. Currently we are looking at potential opportunities for clients including solar farms in Europe, a budget hotel in the UK, forestry and a waste to energy company.
