What is the Problem?

There is a global scientific consensus which says that climate change and the warming of the planet is a consequence of the production of green house gases, predominantly carbon dioxide, caused largely by the extraction and use of oil, coal and gas for energy. As an example China is building two coal fired power stations a week which is necessarily having a global environmental impact.

The emergence of China, India and the developing world is causing the global economy and its participants into reevaluating its resource needs and its approach particularly to energy, energy efficiencies, water usage and waste. This has manifested itself not only in government targets, but economic drivers such as the rise in price of Oil and other commodies which is pushing business and consumers along the same path.

If the scientists are to be believed, as a society we are in a race against time and whether this be true or not, economically it will produce winners and losers.
